Fibromyalgia and Essential Oils

Fibromyalgia is an autoimmune disease that affects the soft tissue and research suggests it can put stress on the liver making it more acidic.

Research suggests the longer the onset of Fibromyalgia the longer the remedies would be needed.

3 months or less 2-4 weeks
6 months or less 1-2 month
1 year or less 3 months
Over 1 year 6-8 months

Essential Oils 
Focus on essential oils that will help boost the immune system to fight the pain.

Symptoms related to Fibromyalgia

Immune Boosting Cinnamon Leaf and Oregano applied to feet nightly before going to bed
Regular Fatigue Pine, Thyme Serpelot, Ravensara, Black Spruce, and Tea Tree essential oil
Insomnia Ravensara, Lavender, Marjoram Sweet, Mandarin Orange, Sweet Orange Litsea Cubeba
Muscle Pain Eucalyptus Lemon, Wintergreen Essential Oil, Lemongrass Essential Oil, Exotic Basil, Laurel Leaf, Sassafras, Peppermint Essential Oil
Migraines Clary Sage, Laurel Leaf, Exotic Basil, Sweet Orange, Wintergreen, Ylang Ylang, Chamomile, Roman


Methods of Application:
Massage daily or when pain occurs 
Baths with 10-20 drops of blend 
Migraine Blend massage into temples or where pressure is building



Good to eat:
Fish such as cod, flounder or tilipia - 2 to 3 times a week 
Raw Vegetables and Fruit- to counter acidic digestion 
(can also juice vegetables and fruit)
Dark Chocolate (good balance of magnesium and calcium)
Drink at least 8 cups of water daily
Foods with an allergic reaction (after eating do symptoms relating to fibromyalgia worsen)
Sugar and refined flour (look for whole grain substitutes)


Vitamins: Take daily
Multi-vitamin with a good B-complex
Daily Flax Seed intake of 2 Tablespoons grind
flax seeds before use
(can use as a condiment in cereal, salads, etc)
Vitamin C 
Folic Acid
