Wintergreen Essential Oil
Details
There is no synthetic methyl salicylate in this Natural Wintergreen. Wintergreen Essential Oil stimulates the circulation and warms. It is good for chronic inflammatory rheumatism. Wintergreen Essential Oil is also useful for headache, toothache, muscle pain, and other aches and inflammations. Place a cloth soaked with the oil over painful joints. Most Wintergreen is methyl salicylate a synthetic made in the labs. It is very inexpensive and this oil should not cost you very much. I would doubt all wintergreen as being synthetic until proven otherwise. Gritman wintergreen is methyl salicylate with a combination of other essential oils. It is the best we can do for now. It was not considered a "natural" oil even when it was natural because the oil is produced as it decomposes in warm water and not produced in the living plant. Some consider this plant a mint and it is not. Also considered a pollutant and environmental hazard especially for marine life.
