Melissa Maceration

Common Name: Lemon Balm, Balm, Sweet Melissa

Scientific Name: Melissa officinalis

Part of Plant Used: Leaves dry or fresh

Constituents: Fractionated Coconut Oil, Essential Oils and Flavonoids

General Information: Melissa essential oil is one of the most special of essential oils. Unfortunately it is rarely available and when it is, it is often a blend of other oils and not melissa at all. The melissa maceration allows for pure melissa to be available at an affordable price. The scent is not as strong but do not be mislead. This is powerful oil.

Physical Properties: Especially good at countering depression and anxiety, sedative, tonic for the heart and circulatory system, lowers blood pressure, and good for flatulent dyspepsia, carminative.

Emotional and Spiritual Properties: Can indicate that your reality may not be as beautiful or as nice as you would like it to be. There are times that we can do little about this. The best thing to do is just ignore it and find beauty and happiness where you can. There is little you can do so accept that and allow yourself to get above the harsh reality. Detach from it. It may seem cold but for now it is the best thing to do. Allow your self to think and feel of better times and better feelings. It is possible and a good thing for you to do. It may feel like denial and avoidance but it is more like acceptance and taking care of yourself.

Applications: Salt Rub to aid circulation, added to massage oil or used as it is for a stress relief massage, add to roll-on bottle to use as deodorant, Add to massage oil or use as it is as stomach rub, full body massage, hair conditioner, skin moisturizer.

Probably better to use before going to bed as it relaxes or used before taking test to relax and allow one to get on top of anxiety so performance is higher (peppermint, rosemary, and the color yellow will also help).
