Constituents: Fractionated Coconut Oil, Essential Oils

General Information: Primarily grown for its scent and beauty. The essential oil is not available on the market. The macerated version has a delicate scent that reminds one of gardenias not at all like the traditional ginger flower that grows with the ginger known for its root essential oil. Butterfly Ginger is basically grown for its beautifully scented flowers and its ability to grow in the shade. There are several gingers grown for their fragrant flowers and they are not all gingers. They can all be called ginger lilies which makes it difficult to truly identify. India is producing some interesting ginger lily essential oils and absolutes but they are expense.

Physical Properties: Relieves depression.

Emotional and Spiritual Properties: Will help one to endure times of confinement or unpleasant situations. Can indicate that you are sad and could be suppressing anger over a situation in your life. Please know that once you allow yourself to get angry that the anger will pass and you will find a new sense of yourself and acceptance for the situation. You may not be able to laugh at the situation but it will no longer get an angry response from you. Soon these times will be over and you will find a renewed sense of freedom.

Applications: This oil is a great extender to your valuable flower oils when used as a carrier. The scent will enhance the other flowers’ scents. This maceration is great for a carrier for a perfume blend. You can also make lotions, creams, and balms with it. Blend with essential oils that would naturally blend well with gardenias or very sweet scents. If you are able to get some ginger lily oil from India, this maceration could act as an extender.
