HISTORY INFORMATION: In China it was used to treat jaundice, dysentery, skin complaints, stop bleeding, promote muscle growth, and prevent malaria. The plant has QHS, quinghaosu or artemeisinin which is used to treat drug resistant forms of malaria. The seeds were also used to treat eye disease.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Often confused with Wormwood (A. absinthium) which has a high percentage of thujone of which Sweet Annie has none. There are over 300 species of artemisia.
