HISTORY INFORMATION: Once fragrances made with violet were the most popular. The violet scent can cause a temporary loss of smell. This oil is an absolute and not made from the violet petals that are so often the source of the literature about violet. This oil is taken from the leaves only, and is affordable, but it is an absolute so use accordingly.

GENERAL INFORMATION: This oil does not have the traditional violet fragrance since it is made from the leaves. Think of it more like a salad fragrance with the energy essence of violets.

DESCRIPTION OF PLANT: A perennial herb growing to 6in. high with heart-shaped leaves and sweetly fragrant violet flowers.

COLOR RANGE: Dark green.

PHYSICAL ACTIONS AND USES: Possibly use for headaches, insomnia, nervous exhaustion, and strengthening and comforting the heart.

SPIRITUAL USES: Can indicate that you are a soft or passive person who wants to become more powerful but the "in your face" model is not for you. It is time for you to claim that being passive, soft spoken is not weak, but very powerful. Know that you can hold your ground and you can do it with a whisper. Violet Leaves balances out overactive yang or macho types that are perhaps too physical and have seen too many Kung Fu movies.
