HISTORY INFORMATION: Jasmine has a long, rich history in many countries. In China, the flowers were used for liver problems and dysentery, while the root was used to treat headaches, insomnia and rheumatism. Of course, the Chinese are famous for jasmine tea. In Europe, it was used as an aphrodisiac and to treat venereal disease. Primarily used as a perfume.
GENERAL INFORMATION: It is known as the king of flower oils in Europe and often is used in love potions and perfumes. In India it is called "queen of the night" and used to excite sensuality. The oil comes from the petals which are collected at night for best scent and must be extracted by a solvent (usually hexane). This is a delicate process and large quantities of petals are needed. The chemical structure of jasmine is close to human perspiration. Two hundred different species of jasmine occur in nature.
DESCRIPTION OF PLANT: A vine or bush growing to 40 feet high with bright green leaves and star-shaped white flowers.

Used for oily skin, stretch marks, catarrh, muscle spasms, back pain, frigidity, impotence, labor pains, uterine disorders, depression, headaches.
MENTAL USES: I find pleasure and beauty in my life. I love others. I love being with others. I find pleasure and beauty in my body and in my lover's body.

You may only want to see sex as sacred or divine love instead of sweaty and sensual. Jasmine can overpower or overwhelm the system if sexual issues have not been healed. You are now wanting to love more deeply and completely. You want to be able to experience sexual love with your full body and your full spirit. WARNINGS\CONTRAINDICATIONS: Never use internally unless you have the true essential oil, as absolutes may have toxic solvents in them.
