HISTORY INFORMATION: This oil has a culinary history. It is used in marinades, sauces, and breads. It works very well with other herbs and the lemony flavor is more stable in heat.
GENERAL INFORMATION: One of only two species of Eucalyptus with highly lemon scented foliage. The other being Lemon Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus citriodora). It is the only other Eucalyptus perfumery oil produced in any quantity. No single chemical predominates in the oil and it is used in whole form for perfumery purposes.
DESCRIPTION OF PLANT: A small to medium tree, to 20 meters, solitary, straight, and bark persistant. Juvenile leaves alternate light green on both surfaces and strongly lemon scented. Very hard, black, furrowed Ironbark to the small branches. Blue-green foliage which are strongly lemon-scented when crushed. White (rarely pink) flowers.

PHYSICAL ACTIONS AND USES: Analgesic, anti-infectious, antiseptic (pulmonary, urinary), antiviral, antirheumetic, powerful antispasmodic, anit-inflammatory, deodorant, gentle expectorant, tonic, fungicidal, insect repellant, purifying, sedative (cardiac: antihypertensive). Soothing and calming . Reduces joint and muscle inflammation, neck aches. Relaxes solar plexus. Works well with the respiratory and immune system for colds, fevers, infections, congestion, and bronchitis.
MENTAL USES: Life is in divine time. I am in divine time. I self myself by serving the divine. When it is my time to help, I will be there. When I need help, it will be there for me.
EMOTIONAL USES: Feeling like the hero, able to validate yourself through your good works, feeling superior, afraid to let others suffer, difficult to watch struggle and feel you must do something about it TO Detached, aware of suffering and able to remove yourself from the feeling of having to do something, confidence in the divine.
SPIRITUAL USES: Can indicate that you have been interfering. Iron Bark helps you find the strength to do nothing. It is not easy to see someone in pain or someone struggling when you know you can help. There are times when it is not appropriate to help. When you do help in times like this, it is called interference. You are only making things worse when you really want to make them better. It is time to retreat and just allow. It is important that you not judge but allow, allow, allow. Every healer has to learn when to help and when not to help. Remember all is in divine time. Everything will be made right.
