HISTORY INFORMATION: Aborginal use of eucalyptus is difficult to find. We do know that in general, Eucalyptus bark, kino, and leaves were used in a variety of remedies. The first commerical production of Eucalyptus was in 1860 by Joseph Bosisto in Victoria, Australia.
GENERAL INFORMATION: Eucalyptus dives "var" is a fragance oil. Eucalytus dives Type General is sold as grades A, B, and S depending on exact constituents. It was introduced in South Africa. High in phellandrene and low in eucalptol. It is well known for its antibacterial properties more than any other Eucalyptus plant. In fact there is much research that shows cineole has no antiseptic properties so eucalptus oils low in cineole would be more antiseptic. Another sources separates the Eucalyptus dives into predominant chemotypes: piperitone, cineole (eucalyptol), or thymol.
DESCRIPTION OF PLANT: A tree 25 meters high with rough fibrous bark and strong aromatic leaves. It also displays white to cream colored flowers.

PHYSICAL ACTIONS AND USES: antibacterial, macolytic, anticatarrh, antinfectious, diuretic, lipolytic. Used for ulcers, severe sinus infection, bronchitis, muscle aches and pains, cuts, sores, boils, acne, asthma, mouth infections, arthritis, rheumatism, injuries, sprains, cold, fever, flu, tonsillitis, intestional infection, cystitis, vaginitis, leucorrhea, increased urine flow, headache, nervous exhaustion, neuralgia, sciatica.
MENTAL USES: Change is normal and a part of life. I am part of that change and I embrace it.
EMOTIONAL USES: Moody, fidgety, unable to focus, worried TO adapting, relaxed, surrendering to life's changes.
SPIRITUAL USES: Can indicate that you are experiencing mood swings and are unable to focus on one thing for too long. There is a fidgety aspect to you and you are unaware why you are behaving this way. Something is about to happen and you are not to sure that you are ready. Change is going to happen and your life is going to be different. There may be a sense that something bad is going to happen and you want to do something to prevent it. Relax as it is going to be fine. Everything is OK. Can indicate that there is damage to your root chakra and this has disturbed your etheric field. Healing is needed and this oil will help. Transitional changes will be handled much easier after this.
