HISTORY INFORMATION: Eromenth is a hybrid of spearmint and is produced solely in the United States. This is a new plant and a new oil. Eromenth was a character in an old Persian tale. He was the bad guy who continually got others into trouble.
GENERAL INFORMATION: Eromenth has very little or no menthol in it. Therefore, there is no peppermint smell to it. It is generally used as a flavoring in food and in perfumes. There is some confusion over components as one grower claims the oil contains germacrene D., but analysis shows it to be beta-cubebene.
DESCRIPTION OF PLANT: A perennial herb growing to 3 feet high with green, lanced-shaped leaves producing flowers in slender spikes.
PARTS PROCESSED: Leaves, flowering tops.

CHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS: Class: Ketone. L-menthone 57%, D-isomenthone 17%, cineole, neo-menthol, beta-caryophyllene.

PHYSICAL ACTIONS AND USES: Analgesic, antidepressant, antigalactagogue, antipruritic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antitoxic, aperitive, aphrodisiac, astringent, carminative, cephalic, cholagogue, decongestant, diaphoretic, digestive, diuretic, emmenagogue, expectorant, febrifuge, hepatic, insecticide, nervine, refrigerant, restorative, reviving, stimulant, stomachic, tonic. Used for acne, dermatitis, congested skin, colic, dyspepsia, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, colds, fever, flu, fatigue, headache, migraine, nervous tension, stress. Used to cool, improve digestion, increase appetite, relieve flatulence, freshen breath and intestines, stimulate and strengthen the nerves, open sinus and breathing passages, uplift moods, revive, stimulate metabolism, increase physical strength and endurance, improve mental clarity, sharpen memory and the senses, relieve aches, pain and inflammation.
MENTAL USES: I may not know where I am going, but I'm not lost. My life continues to unfold itself. I have a divine plan and I am part of a divine plan.
EMOTIONAL USES: Depressed, hollow feeling, meaninglessness TO uplifted, know that you have a purpose and meaning, optimistic.
SPIRITUAL USES: Can indicate the lower chakras are out of balance with the higher chakras so that life seems to be meaningless. Eromenth does not seem to be as balancing as spearmint. Here the emphasis seems to be on upliftment and spiritual attunement so the higher chakras are involved.
APPLICATIONS: Aroma lamp, bath, diffusor, inhaler, light bulb ring, liquid candle, mist spray, steam inhalation.
WARNINGS\CONTRAINDICATIONS: Appears to be nontoxic, but no formal testing so avoid in pregnancy and with infants and children.
