COMMON NAME: Texas (Juniper) Cedarwood
SCIENTIFIC NAME: Juniperus ashei, Juniperus mexicana
FAMILY NAME: Cupressaceae (Cypress)
INDIGENOUS COUNTRY: Texas
COUNTRY OF PRODUCTION: USA
HISTORY INFORMATION: This oil is usually rectified or fractionated, as it tends to crystallize and become solid. Can find no Native American medicinal sources. It was probably used like red cedar. Used in cleansers and cosmetics today.
GENERAL INFORMATION: Botanically related to East African cedarwood ( Juniperus procera) which is used in making pencils. Chemically related to Red Cedarwood (J. virginiana) as they have the same components but are proportioned differently. Rectified oil is what you will most often find on the market, but some authorities say the whole oil is safer, yet impossible to find. We visited a refinery of Texas Cedarwood and found that all their product was sent to Europe and we were unable to get it locally. From what we were told, it seems that the US was getting their cedar oil for commercial applications from China, as it was cheaper.

MENTAL USES: I control no one and no one controls me. My will is Thy Will. I am protected and safe. I have help when I need it. I live and let live.
MOTIONAL USES: Powerless, lifeless, feeling preyed upon, feeling watched, fatigued TO feeling in control, empowered, happy, productive, independent, energized.
SPIRITUAL USES: Can indicate that damage has occurred to the energy field, especially from abuse of power. This is a major issue because we all have either abused power in some way or been abused by someone in power. When it comes to having free will, control issues seem to occur naturally. Who decides? Most of us find it easy to let others decide for us; let them be responsible for what happens. I did as I was told. I did my job. I am off the hook. It is scary for us to take a stand or be responsible. Then who will we blame? Perhaps we have decided to take control, knowing full well if something goes wrong, we know who we will scapegoat. As we have allowed others to control us or we have tried to control others, a degree of damage can be created in our auric field. Control eventually leads to self destruction. Free will and self-determination leads to growth and expansion. Texas Cedarwood heals the damage and ejects negative energy, especially of a vampire quality, from the energy field. Be sure to set up a sacred space before beginning.
