HISTORY INFORMATION: Misunderstanding about this oil comes from its name. Automatically one assumes this oil is from carrots, the long orange root vegetable. It isn't. The family of plants called Apiaceae or carrot family all tend to have carrot-like roots. In years gone by, the beautiful flower known as Queen Ann's Lace was also eaten as wild carrots. They are highly nutritious, containing substantial amounts of vitamins A, C and some B's. The root was also used medicinally as a tonic for the liver and gall bladder, with the seeds used for kidney and digestive disorders. Yellow and orange carrots can yield a solvent extracted oil that has high concentrations of carotene.

GENERAL INFORMATION: Oil is less abundant in cultivated varieties than wild. The odor is not apparent in the seed until after distillation.

EMOTIONAL USES: Feeling invalidated for what you perceive, confused, manipulated, dependent on others for your feelings and thoughts TO seeing clearly, feeling strongly about what you perceive, you need no validation from outside yourself.

SPIRITUAL USES: Can indicate that you rely on others for the truth and do not get that your truth is within. It can be very confusing if those around you do not validate your experience or agree with you about what is happening. You may need others approval to feel good about yourself. You have become dependent upon the outside world for what you know and how you feel. If there is lack of agreement, you will doubt yourself. It is time for you to begin validating your own self and own experience. There can be many personal truths and only you can decide your truth, while there is only one Universal Truth and it needs not your agreement.
